Patient Service Coordinator - Part Time, Bilingual at Blue Cloud

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, LLC is very excited about our brand new state of the art children's surgery center located in Orlando, Florida! We are seeking a part time bilingual, Patient Service Coordinator with a passion for serving pediatric patients as well as special needs patients (both children and adults).

The successful candidate will have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing excellent health care to our patients.

The Patient Service Coordinator will be responsible for greeting and registering patients and family members. This includes management of appointments, appropriate forms and informational documents as well as positive customer service.

  • The Patient Service Coordinator will serve as the primary position front desk registration at the local facility site.
  • Customer service regardless of appointment purpose is the top priority for the front desk ensuring a timely and professional interaction.
  • Available to greet patients, manage required paperwork, answer questions and mitigate waiting room issues for a positive patient care experience.
  • Manages the daily schedule to ensure all paperwork and other requirements have been met prior to established date of service for the patient.
  • Supports and endeavors to promote a positive work environment.
  • Escalates issues, questions or calls as needed based on the patient/client interaction to the appropriate party.
  • Provides timely and accurate communication regarding the daily schedule to management and necessary facility staff which assists in a providing an excellent service experience at the facility.
  • Provides reports as requested by management and escalates any concerns regarding service, schedules or other components to management.
  • Adheres to and complies with all federal and state regulations, labor laws by the staff notwithstanding the HIPAA Security Act and Final Rule as well as abiding by the Blue Cloud code of conduct and compliance plan. Completes all training mandated by Blue Cloud.
  • Seeks to provide service excellence through appropriate communication and documentation in the patient chart.
  • Processes third party insurance verification, co-pay/deductible payments, anesthesia billing requirements in a timely manner.
  • Prepares for mailing or distribution the procedure documents for the referring offices.
  • Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of the waiting room as outlined in the infection control standards.
  • Participates in training sessions, utilizes materials and is responsible for understanding changes to the workflow, services or facilities.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

2 to 3 years of customer service experience in high-volume dental or medical office setting.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills along with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet.

Preferred Education and Experience

Strong background in patient care environment
