Principal Product Manager, Demand Generation at Udemy

As a Principal Product Manager for Demand Generation you will oversee the product strategy and execution to drive student, instructor, and enterprise traffic globally. Your mission will be to enable Udemy to reach, convert, & retain existing and potential users profitably and at scale through existing and new technical initiatives. Success requires a tight and forward-looking relationship with multiple data science, marketing, business development, and sales stakeholders. We are seeking a combination of strong vision, strategic leverage, team leadership, and high velocity execution.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

    • Lead the strategy, prioritization, and execution for new and existing paid marketing channels, tools, and initiatives that support the marketing and business development teams - be their advocate
    • Automate, synthesize, and scale our marketing efforts across various channels (Google, FB, IG, and more)
    • Define, monitor and measure product metrics and KPIs, incorporate learnings into product definition and development process
    • Build in-depth understanding of our B2B and B2C customers, internal users, systems, marketing tools and channels
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver successful products and/or features
    • Communicate product vision to senior management and various stakeholders

We’re excited about you because you have:

    • 3+ years familiarity and experience with paid marketing channels. Channels include, but are not limited to: Paid Social, Paid Search, Affiliates, B2B2C Partnerships and more
    • Communicate performance to marketing team leadership and other stakeholders to promote shared understanding of performance marketing strategy, ROI, and opportunities
    • You are excited about highly complex problems, systems, and interactions
    • You have great attention to detail but base your strategy on the big picture objectives
    • You understand how technology can solve customer problems and can engage in the details with the engineering team to find simpler solutions
    • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools
    • Passion about the education space and the problems we are solving
    • Natural talent for moderating competing ideas and finding creative solutionsComfortable managing local and remote Product and Engineering teams (Ireland and Turkey)
    • BA / BS required, ideally in a technical field
    • 5+ years of product management experience in building and shipping products that customers love

Nice to haves:

    • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field is ideal
    • Experience with delivering supply side products for two-sided marketplaces/platforms
    • Experience with SQL for pulling and analyzing data
