Minted is seeking a Print Producer to join our Creative Studio, reporting to the Senior Director of Creative Service and Operations. This role will focus on bringing to life Minted’s brand across multiple forms of printed marketing collateral - from catalogs to in-box pieces, and direct mail pieces to packaging. This individual has experience developing catalog marketing strategy; managing the print creative development process from inception to completion; and also has experience in print production management, ensuring that the highest print quality is achieved through excellence in file preparation, pre-production, and printing quality control. This is a role that requires great attention to detail, with opportunity for innovation as well. This role will require travel to printers across the US for press checks. We’re seeking a person who appreciates working in an entrepreneurial, design-driven environment.

You will:

    • Partner with marketing leads to drive strategy of catalogs and print mailers based on prior results, marketing and brand objectives
    • Produce projects within the print domain (e.g., catalogs, in-box pieces, direct mail), working with the creative team from strategic development through execution, acting as key point person for progress, timeline, and creative review/approval
    • Create specifications for print materials (e.g., paper, binding, finishing, color/inks, quantity, vendors) in order to receive competitive printing quotes and timelines
    • Review all color proofs, blue lines, ink drawdowns, and paper/substrates, catching any design errors before reviewing with leadership and before going to print;Attend press checks to ensure highest quality and provide final sign-off of project
    • Create and maintain a print resource document with all vendor information (e.g., contact information, details about capabilities, general pricing, turn times) and print material details (e.g., approved substrates and specifications, including when that substrate is most appropriate)
    • Responsible for quality, cost, and timeliness of files and printing for: catalogs, direct mail marketing pieces, retail signage, trade booth signage, OOH, in-box inserts, and packaging
    • Partner with Photo Studio to ensure photographic direction takes downstream print and color needs into consideration
    • Codify best practices and processes related to print production (e.g., color proofing, press check, vendor management); review with Brand leadership and implement within Creative Studio
    • Partner closely with Supply Chain & Operations to resolve any supply and quality issues. Drive the process to complete projects in a timely manner, despite any setbacks

You are:

    • Able to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with ambitious schedules and plans (fast twitch muscles)
    • A self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, look around corners to anticipate roadblocks, and meet changing deadlines and priorities
    • Excited to work in a highly collaborative team environment, with a proven ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and drive results throughout an organization at all levels and across departments in a highly matrixed organization
    • Extraordinarily detailed and perfectionistic

You have:

    • 6-8+ years of experience in print production, including optimizing files for print, printing press optimization and print vendor management (to manage projects on-time and on-budget). Experience with a number of printing press solutions is required, both traditional and digital
    • 6-8+ years of experience managing the creative development process across a variety of print deliverables—catalogs and/or DM in particular—from kick-off, through rounds of stakeholder reviews and revisions
    • Proven ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and drive results throughout an organization at all levels and across departments in a highly matrixed organization
    • Superlative written and verbal skills as well as strong presentation skills
    • BA/BS with previous experience at a design firm, ad agency, or in-house marketing communications or creative services department.
