About the Role
As part of Finance leadership team, you will collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to lead all strategic finance, planning and analysis for the company. You will have the unique opportunity to partner with business leaders in driving the strategy and growth for the company. This will include but is not limited to building and running the budgeting and forecasting processes, developing the Company-wide KPI framework, building financial models for strategic initiatives, partnering with departments to assist with decision support. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of detail orientation, financial modeling skills, and offer a strong strategic perspective to help the business move forward. You will also have the opportunity to build the finance team from ground up.

What you'll do:

    • Substantially impact Modsy’s strategic, competitive and financial performance
    • Lead company planning for all near and long-term forecasting processes
    • Maintain and build Company-wide KPI framework by working closely with the executive team
    • Collaborate with members of the executive team to analyze the business and financial impacts of strategic growth initiatives, conduct impact and ROI analyses to support prioritization of strategic initiatives across key areas of the business
    • Develop key metrics to measure progress and performance against key company goals
    • Conduct analysis and derive insights to drive growth and ensure competitiveness
    • Assist with the preparation of management and Board presentations
    • Understand the mandate and processes in each business function, and work closely with department heads to develop their quarterly/annual work plans and budgets
    • Work closely with the Accounting team to understand accounting records and ensure financial reports reflect business performance appropriately
    • Direct the dissemination of monthly management financial insights to the executive team
    • Lead the effort to develop the annual and departmental budgets and forecasts
    • Drive automation of internal processes within FP&A

What we're looking for:

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; MBA preferred
    • 7-10 years experience and proven track record in financial strategy consulting, investment banking, or strategic finance roles in the technology or consumer industry 
    • Strong strategic and creative thinking, analytical and project management skills
    • Ability to establish strong working relationships across all levels of management, and to work collaboratively and independently
    • Effective at communicating complex topics and influencing others
    • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
    • Expert in financial modeling skills (building complex financial models for valuation, forecasting or pricing strategies)
    • Problem solving and investigative skills
    • Experience using FP&A tools (e.g. Adaptive, AnaPlan, etc) and reporting from ERP systems (Netsuite)
    • Experience using BI and analytics tools (e.g. Looker)
    • Analytical mindset - ability to leverage data to make key decisions
