Senior Product Designer - Mobile

Grove Collaborative

San Francisco, CA, US

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer for our native apps with 4+ years of professional experience to join our growing Product Design Team at our HQ in San Francisco.
What makes this role interesting?
You’ll be the primary designer for our iOS and Android (coming soon!) native apps, in addition to supporting our core web product. You will join our 5-person product design team, where you’ll work closely with other designers, engineers and other cross-functional teams while helping to raise the design quality of our native app experiences.

About you:

      • You have 4+ years of experience in mobile user experience design, with strong expertise in information architecture, interaction design and visual design.
      • You have a strong knowledge of Apple and Material Design Guidelines.
      • You are an expert at the tools of the trade including Sketch, Zeplin and Abstract.
      • You’ve mastered at least one prototyping tool, such as Flinto or Principle.
      • You are fluent in animation and motion design.
      • You are data-aware and your designs are data-informed, stemming from a good mix of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
      • You seek out feedback early and often and receive critique gracefully. You provide thoughtful critique to others and are excited to mentor others in mobile design.
      • You have solid design rationale -- so you can simplify and clearly communicate design decisions.
      • You’re excited to join a fast-growing startup and are comfortable with efficient and rapid iteration.
      • Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee of this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Bonus points:
    • You have previous experience in e-commerce and/or consumer-facing products
    • You know how to plan and conduct usability testing and generative research
