Engagio is on a mission to bring Account Based Everything to the world. We’re growing quickly, and after hiring our first Account Development Reps (ADRs) and seeing them have a ton of success, we’re looking for a seasoned Account Development leader to continue building and growing our team. NOTE: At Engagio, it’s “Account Development” because we don’t think “Sales Development” sends the right message to prospective buyers. No one wants to be “sold”.
This isn’t our first rodeo. Our CEO, Jon Miller, has been instrumental in building two of the largest marketing technology companies in the past 20 years including Epiphany (IPO: 1999); and most recently as Co-Founder of Marketo; (IPO: 2013 - Nasdaq: MKTO). Our Co-Founder Brian Babcock worked with Jon at Epiphany and was also early at Rocket Fuel; (IPO: 2013) and Platfora. Additional senior leaders come to us from Eloqua (acquired by Oracle), Marketo & Intuit. Some of our early customers include VMWare, New Relic, InsightSquared, Trello & DialPad.
The Role: Engagio is looking for their first in-house recruiter for our growing start-up. You will drive recruitment strategy, candidate sourcing, and recruitment processes to help our team acquire world-class talent. This external facing role will also serve as a primary recruiting point of contact within the organization. Over time, you will help identify and hire new employees as you manage the candidate experience from start to finish.  You will quickly become an indispensable member of the People Operations team.

    • Source and attract quality passive talent to fill our hiring pipeline for current and future positions in Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and more.
    • Manage full-cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing and reference checking.
    • Provide a great candidate experience throughout the interview process.
    • Partner with hiring managers to determine requirements for the position and qualities of an ideal candidate, and create and post job positions that will attract top talent.
    • Measure the recruiting funnel and find ways to optimize our hiring process.
    • Determine and implement recruiting best practices.
    • Maintain ATS integrity (we use Lever).
    • Represent Engagio at meetups, career fairs and other recruiting events.


    • Prior experience in a recruiting role.
    • Knowledge of various functions (sales, marketing, engineering, customer success, G&A) within an organization and the challenges of filling positions within those departments.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
    • Ability to handle confidential material.
    • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
    • Detail oriented and analytical.
    • Strong team player but comfortable in self-starter environments.


    • 4+ years of relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of the full recruiting life-cycle in a startup environment.
    • A Bachelor’s degree is required
