Description

The Mortgage Loan Operations Teams strive to simplify loan procedures and processes, provide superior services to the customer and create long-term value by streamlining the origination process and originating loans in a cost-effective manner.
 
These objectives are accomplished with a balance between tactical and strategic focus that includes policy and process design while maximizing profitability within the established bounds through best-execution analysis and choice of investor delivery methods while assuring quality controls are set throughout the entire loan process.  

Description

    • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing and Product to design and build solutions for Opendoor Home Loans Sales team and our unique business needs.
    • Develop and implement systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, forecasting and sales force automation
    • Conduct sophisticated and creative analyses of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations to drive business decisions related to mortgage products
    • Oversee the administration and execution of sales team targets, compensation plans, and KPIs to increase effectiveness and drive growth
    • Analytical rigor and strategic thinking are essential, but we’ll also need you to get your hands dirty to help drive real sustainable impact. Should be just as willing to have a strategic conversation about sales process as building Salesforce/CRM reports to track the efficiency of the sales team.
    • Be the liaison between Sales and Operations to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, Mortgage Consultant productivity, and origination capacity; strengthen communication and comradeship between divisions
    • Build integrated dashboards and reports across the origination value stream, i.e. sales and fulfillment.
    • Working collaboratively with functional leaders to develop strategic short and long-term plans to enhance sales systems in support of critical sales initiatives.
    • Partner with various owners of business processes to create a cross-business roadmap for various systems (sales) implementation and rollout including prioritization of enhancement requests.

Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of Sales Strategy through research and analysis of opportunities, assignment, prioritization, and conversion through the funnel. 
    • Lead day-to-day Sales Pipeline Management Process (cadence, pipeline reviews, etc.).
    • Work closely with sales leadership to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
    • Work closely with the GM of Opendoor Home Loans and the Sales team to evaluate our current enablement functions: reporting, training, and tools.
    • Assess and build on current sales toolkit and processes including CRM, lead management, scripting, and training assets.
    • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting within the sales organization. As needed, coordinate planning activities with other departments including Finance, Operations and Marketing.
    • Own Salesforce.com and related sales enablement technologies to increase compliance, accuracy of reports, and effectiveness for sales while communicating “Best Practices” to sales and sales leadership.
    • Design and deliver reporting, metrics and analytics to meet requirements of the sales organization and assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
    • Work with Marketing to analyze and optimize effectiveness of marketing campaigns in driving sales results post lead creation.
    • Facilitate communication between operations, product management, and sales to ensure optimal customer execution.

Requirements

    • Minimum 3+ years experience in Sales Operations
    • Minimum 7+ years of Mortgage Experience. 
    • Strong understanding of the mortgage business and mortgage processes
    • Subject matter expertise specific to SFDC or Velocify or other CRM – Including Best practices, process design, development and process improvements.
    • Ability to work with finance and comfort working with and presenting financial analysis/ reporting to finance leads and peers.
    • Reliable with the ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from Senior Management – take responsibility for actions/ outcomes and are accountable.
    • Ability to effectively manage both individual contributors and team leaders, establish and achieve team goals.
    • Possess business insight, strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
    • Proven track record of complex project planning, management and delivery, including development of clear action plans.
    • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
    • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, a commitment to quality, results driven and customer focused.
    • Ability to work across the organization to support ideation and work to build consensus while being a “team player”.
    • College degree required. MBA preferred.
