Grove is hiring a Head of Social Media to act as the strategic & operational lead for all our social media channels. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the social strategy & new channel launches, develop a growing team and partner cross-functionally with other key teams across the company.
 
This is a role that requires an experienced team leader who can manage and mentor a team to bring creative ideas to life. You need to believe in our mission and can champion it while tying our social channel content back to our brand & growth strategy. 
 
You nerd out in the numbers and seek to grow the channel in support of business objectives, but you’re also connected to popular culture and are energized by our community conversations. You can represent the voice of the customer in our marketing discussions and back it up with relevant data points. Reporting to our VP of Content & Community and based out of Grove’s San Francisco Headquarters or in our sister location, Portland, Maine, you will serve as the day-to-day Operational & Strategic lead.

Your Role & Impact

    • Manage our Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Linkedin  and FB channels for ALL brands
    • Manage, mentor & grow the Social Media Marketing team 
    • Keep Grove on the cutting edge of social/digital/emerging media and track trends to identify new, innovative ways or partnerships to evolve the strategy, grow the audience, and drive meaningful conversations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Establish clear social media goals across all platforms and consistently analyze, report on and track to KPIs and benchmarks
    • Collaborate closely with creative & content team to develop relevant, engaging and thought-provoking social and digital content across all channels
    • Develop a Multi-brand social media strategy to support new category/product launches across Beauty/Wellness & Home
    • Ensure programs and social content map to growth & marketing strategy and drive and curate user-generated content
    • Help train and guide our Social Response team ( based in Portland, Maine). Provide the tone & brand voice documentation for them to adhere to in their responses.
    • Guide, manage & oversee the team on the content calendar, budget, measurement, and operations

About You

    • 7+ years leading social media programs that include Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, Linkedin, Pinterest and Facebook
    • Strong leadership skills in growing & developing a team of high performers
    • Experience in Beauty/Personal care products, Home care products or Retail is preferred
    • Strong social copywriting skills and demonstrable creative/concepting skills.
    • Passionate about social media and you understand how to create & build communities of energized consumers
    • Detail-oriented and organized; able to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on strict deadlines
    • Understanding and experience with best-in-class tools
    • Experience & comfort in a nimble, fast-paced start-up environment on a highly collaborative team preferred
    • Experience with photography and/or visual content creation or in partnering with creative team to achieve desired vision
    • Proven success in growing accounts with a thoughtful, scrappy and analytical approach
