As a Senior Solution Consultant for Propel PLM, you will work on the Professional Services team and will implement the Salesforce platform-based Propel PLM solution for new customers. You will also enhance existing customers’ systems by covering additional business processes, adding users and functions from additional business units, and facilitating integrations to other business systems.  

In this role you can likely expect to:

    • Perform PLM business process consulting, including discussion of best practices for part categorization, part numbering, revision control, BOM management, manufacturer part management, document control, and reporting
    • Perform application configuration using Salesforce platform tools and Propel configuration tools
    • Perform data migrations, including imports of Items, BOMs, and AML from Excel. The ideal candidate will have the skills to perform more complex multi-revision data migrations from legacy systems
    • Advise customers and solution partners on integration with other business systems, such as CAD and ERP integrations
    • Perform project management functions
    • Assist with sales activities on an occasional basis, such as preparing product demos, scoping implementation work, and working with prospects to understand requirements

The Senior Solution Consultant will participate as-needed for customer implementations in one of the following capacities:

    • As project lead for large implementations performed by a team 
    • As project team member for large implementations led by another consultant 
    • As sole consultant for smaller implementations 

What you bring to the role:

    • 8+ years of hands-on technical experience with one or more PLM systems
    • Experience in multiple end-to-end PLM implementations
    • Database experience
    • Thorough knowledge of PLM concepts, including Items, BOMs, AML, revision control, ECOs, ECRs, Deviations, Stop Ships, document management, part numbering practices, and reporting/ data analytics
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities, including data manipulation with formulas and VLookups 
    • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence peers and management and facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects independently
    • Demonstrated project management skills, including experience with project management software
    • Excellent verbal communications skills
    • Ability to express technical information in writing, using clear structure and 100% correct grammar and spelling
    • Ability to work independently with little oversight
    • Willingness to work on any size customer implementation, from small startup to global enterprise

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Salesforce administration experience, including creating objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, process builders, flows, profiles, permission sets, and reports
    • Medical device experience, with an understanding of best practices for the following processes: CAPA, NCMR, SCAR, Audit, Complaint, Supplier Evaluation, Equipment Calibration, First Article Inspection, Risk Management, Requirements Management
    • Work experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Understanding of NPI processes for typical high-tech electronics, medical device, and semiconductor customers

Something Extra You Can Bring To the Table:

    • Experience writing PLM customizations, such as process extensions, integrations, and custom reports
    • Coding experience
Travel Requirements:
Most implementation work is performed remotely, but some travel is required. Candidate should plan on approximately 25% travel. Travel will vary according to assignments. 
Location is flexible. Santa Clara, CA office or remote.
