The Role:

We are looking for a results-oriented, go-to-market Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) who is responsible for all revenue generating processes within Sojern. The CRO is responsible for the performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization’s revenue operations. You will be accountable for the performance of all global revenue operations functions within the organization, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.

As a dedicated hands-on leader you will work effortlessly to ensure that your team is focused and aligned with the company’s growth targets. As the CRO you will be an experienced and inspiring leader with excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a long history of building strong travel customer relationships, coupled with the market know-how to specify, strategize, and define opportunities.


Primary responsibilities:

  • Drive global revenue, profitability, through innovative go-to-market strategies and by building an industry leading commercial function.

  • Lead global Sales, Customer Success and Marketing functions.

  • Propel sales leadership to develop and implement revenue driving strategies, which create long-term customer and business value.

  • Drive marketing leadership to create and execute winning marketing strategies to drive profitable growth.

  • Inspire customer success leadership to define and deliver on the customer value proposition, without sacrificing profitability targets.

  • Foster a world class customer-first focused organization.

  • Effectively resolve issues across the marketing/sales and customer success functions – must be comfortable with conflict, addressing issues, and solving problems in a practical and healthy manner.

  • Build a winning sales team and organization through recruiting and inspiring team members.

  • Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate performance metrics and expectations for the commercial teams.

What you bring to the table:

  • 20 years + experience leading global revenue operations in one or multiple of the following: Travel, Digital Advertising, Saas.

  • Proven results as a Chief Revenue Officer or a similarly relevant role with responsibility of at least $100M in revenue 

  • Global Organizational Leadership: Proven experience building, leading, mentoring and developing high performance revenue operations. Experience driving cultural change. 

  • Strategic Impact: Successful track record of defining and executing strategic and innovative initiatives which have had a major impact on the company and market performance.

  • Communications: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to understand how and why clients make decisions, and how to influence them. Demonstrated ability to engage with business leaders, C-level executives, external clients, vendors and peers.

  • Culture/Stage: Proven track record of successful high-growth organizational leadership. A high level of comfort with a feedback-oriented culture.

  • Previous sales, marketing, and/or customer success leadership experience required.

  • Experience implementing revenue operation strategies in the travel and/or digital marketing  industry required.

  • Extensive experience building high performing global commercial teams and related business units from the ground up.

  • Expertise in new business development, organizational change, digital innovation and business strategy.

  • Adept at transitioning seamlessly from a strategic level vision to day-to-day tactical operations.

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics required.

  • A demonstrated execution mindset and a record of success holding people accountable.

  • Ability to create a healthy organizational culture.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience working in a startup environment strongly preferred.

  • Advanced degree, MBA or similar, preferred.

  • International travel required.
