Position Overview
We are looking for an architecturally minded designer that understands how to “connect the dots” through a collaborative process of researching, planning and realizing the experiences that happen over time and multiple touch points with a customer's experience. The nerd in you is obsessed with understanding our technical customers and mapping out solutions. Acting as a coach, mentor and lead for both internal teams as well as an advocate for our customers’ needs, a user experience architect is a true veteran of human-centered design, interaction design and design research. The design leader in you understands how to answer: “Are we building the right thing?” vs. “Are we building it right?” You understand the power of listening across all functions and communicating with a love for design but also an understanding of the business. Your craft is in storytelling and articulating a vision for the ultimate customer experience in a way that can be feasibly executed. 
The Design Team at Exabeam creates consumer-level user experience for complex data visualizations and information design of enterprise-level capabilities. That sounds complicated, and it is. But our team is close-knit, and we swarm frequently on all of the design problems we’re facing.
We are looking for a talented UX Architect who is passionate about solving complex technical problems and revels in the details of creating smart, beautiful, and polished products.


    • A design leader that elevates the design team
    • Act as a point of contact from different cross functional departments
    • Work across teams and stakeholders to identify the design challenge and articulate a design strategy for the solution
    • Work with internal stakeholders to understand what drives their business and reach a shared vision of how to solve their problems while advocating for the end user
    • Guide research that identifies and defines user goals and value definition
    • Collaborate with other designers to identify new interface guidelines and design patterns
    • Synthesize, articulate, and communicate an experience vision to stakeholders.
    • Lead data driven design methodologies to champion refinements of the product until the usability and experience reach a delightful level and meet the success criteria
    • Be highly adaptable in an ever-changing startup environment


    • 7+ years work experience as a designer working on shippable products - preferably some in enterprise design
    • Has a track record of influencing the direction of the product and delivering high quality product
    • Strong experience in working with engineering and product management teams to oversee the user experience of a product from discovery  to delivery
    • Experience leading team projects, defining experience brief, design KPI’s, and success criteria
    • Experience with user research in building the product and testing to validate key insights
    • A portfolio that highlights your strengths

Preferred Requirements

    • BFA, BA, or BS degree in design or a related discipline
    • Experience with creating customer journeys, doing research, and creating user personas
    • Information design/data visualization experience a plus
    • Experience building a design system a plusPrototyping experience a plus
