Description

ClearDATA is currently looking to hire an Experience Designer to join our Product team on a 3 to 6 month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role.  ClearData is an Agile company with team members in multiple locations - you should be comfortable in this environment, or willing to learn it, advocate for it, and participate in it.  We don’t just write code; we deliver a set of products to our customers that frees them from the day to day management of infrastructure, security, and compliance so they can focus on revolutionizing healthcare. We’re a close team of talented engineers, developers, designers, system administrators and leaders, so expect to be involved in many of the design decisions, schedule discussions and plannings around our next generation of products. In our distributed team the ability to communicate across offices is an important part of your day, so plan to make make heavy use of Slack and video conferencing.

What You’ll Do: 

Working as part of the Product organization, the Experience Designer will contribute to the creation and implementation of the design, feel, and flow of ClearDATA products. You will produce designs under the direction of the Principal Designer or User Experience Manager and work with both full-stack and front end engineers to ensure their implementation matches the design vision. You will create wireframes and prototypes, and build design specifications.  The Experience Designer may meet with customers to collect requirements and feedback, and combine that data with internal stakeholder needs to deliver the right combination of forward thinking design and usability while meeting tight deadlines. 

What You’ll Need: 

•    5-7 years in Design or UX roles with a history of increasing responsibility and scope

•    Expertise creating designs with an awareness of the capabilities of the underlying platforms and frameworks (e.g. Angular)

•    Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools

•    Proficiency working in real world Agile environments with both local and remote team members and stakeholders 

•    Passion for your work coupled with the ability to take criticism on your designs from both internal and external parties

•    Ability to combine requirements and feedback from multiple parties into one actionable and highly effective end user experience

•    Experience collaborating on the designs with other designers

•    Advanced Degree in Design or equivalent industry recognition

•    Prior experience with successful product launches to paying customers 

•    A passion for UX and other areas of design that goes beyond your time at work
