This isn’t our first rodeo. Our CEO, Jon Miller, was instrumental in building two of the largest marketing technology companies in the past 20 years including Epiphany (IPO: 1999); and most recently as Co-Founder of Marketo; (IPO: 2013, then acquired by Adobe in 2018). Our Co-Founder Brian Babcock worked with Jon at Epiphany and was also early at Rocket Fuel; (IPO: 2013) and Platfora (Acquired by Workday: 2016). MISSION: Build the next great marketing platform.

Responsibilities

    • Reporting into the VP Sales, manage and develop a first-class team of Account Development Reps. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training new reps while implementing best practices across the team.
    • Work with other functional leaders to fine tune our messaging and objection handling on the front lines.
    • Partner with Marketing to support their campaign initiatives which include webinars, field events, tradeshows, direct mail, and demand generation activities. 
    • Exceed qualified meeting, opportunity and activity team goals on a weekly/monthly basis
    • A belief in the “if it’s not in CRM it didn’t happen” school of Account Development - instill best practices within salesforce.com to ensure accurate measurement of the ADR team function
    • Work with the leadership team to define ideal career paths and a scalable system for growth as this organization will be a feeder into many other areas of our business
    • Use Engagio’s Playmaker product across the team to orchestrate and execute daily activities

Requirements

    • Infuse the sales floor with energy and positivity - they’ll get their energy and passion from YOU
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience running Account Development (or Sales Development) teams. Candidates with 5+ years of SDR management experience are a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • An interest and desire in public speaking / thought leadership. Engagio is seen as the leader in Account Based Sales Development -> people want to know how we are building our organization and the ideal candidate isn’t afraid of communicating our best practices with the world.
    • Proven ability to onboard, coach and mentor aspiring sales professionals who are early in their professional career.
    • A Bachelor’s degree is required
