The Accounting Clerk is responsible for all facets of Customer Billing.  This position will work closely with the Business Unit Sr. Accountants, with various Appriss employees that work with specific customers, along with corresponding directly with customers. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, review and email/mail monthly customer invoices
  • Answer customer inquiries related to billing, payments, address changes, etc.
  • Process customer credit card payments
  • Daily processing of cash receipts
  • Create and apply customer credits if needed
  • Ability to review contracts to decide the proper terms, contacts and billing information
  • Dependable team player who is able to multi-task, meet deadlines and has strong organizational skills
  • Interaction with Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to resolve customer discrepancies and help with collections
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Minimum Requirements    

  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics     

  • 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems—NetSuite a plus.
  • Revenue Recognition experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have a collaborative and professional presence.
    • Service Oriented – this is a key area of importance. Our successful Accounting Clerk will be eager to help, committed to doing things right and always focused on the needs of the Business Units.
