Responsibilities

    • Architect, implement and maintain cloud-based private/public lab platforms
    • Architect, implement and maintain a global strategy for high-availability and self-service across all regions.
    • Lead design discussions on private/public cloud strategy to facilitate communication with Authorized Training Centers and internal stakeholders
    • Maintain current knowledge of applicable technologies
    • Ensure the global lab environment (internal and 3rd party) provides a cost effective and consistently superior user experience
    • Work with management to ensure consistency and uniformity with company vision and direction.
    • Establish and implement maintenance windows, routine audits, feedback reviews, etc.
    • Recommend the creation of secondary roles to support designed offerings and help define clear duties for all roles, in-house and outsourced
    • Provide hardware/software recommendations to support proposed architected solutions
    • Oversee daily operations of the Customer Success Training & Enablement lab environment.
    • Plan and coordinate with all Customer Success business units to design, build, modify and implement a superior lab environment which provides relevant and practical hands-on exercises for students.
    • Provide Level 3 technical support for lab related problems and issues. 

Requirements

    •  5+ years of private cloud/public cloud, Full Stack virtualization solutions.
    • Willing to obtain Engineering and Architecture level AWS, GPC, and Azure certifications.
    • Knowledge with Windows based deployments
    • Willing to stay up to date with current automation ecosystems and obtain certifications where possible.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • Ability to travel up to 25% worldwide
    • Possess or can obtain a passport and driver’s license
    • Ability to manage their time and assignment.
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, capable of presenting to technical as well as 'C' level audiences
    • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often under duress (on-site, online and via telephone)
    •  "Whatever it takes" attitude and motivation to do whatever necessary to assist in working with partners 
    •  10+ years’ experience in the industry.
    • Have superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the System Engineer/Architect level
    • Are confident and actively participate in team support by proposing and implementing solutions
    • Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and as part of worldwide team of engineers, instructors, and courseware developers

Preferred

    • Systems installation, configuration and administration of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems
    • Knowledge of front and back-end solutions for self-service
    • Must have exceptional knowledge of Full Stack solutions from L2-L7 including IP routing protocols, L4-L7 Load Balancing and emerging SDN technologies (e.g. VXLAN)
    • CentOS/REH deployments
    • Installing and troubleshooting network infrastructure security products 
    • Systems cost analysis and long-term strategy
    • Network operations
    • Public Speaking
    • Virtualization platforms
    • Technical/Customer support
    • Different operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
    • Project management
    • Scripting languages and automating network/system administrative tasks, such as creating accessible APIs for metrics, leveraging metrics from multiple solutions to provide integration and seamless self-service.
