About the Role

 

Lending Club is looking to hire a Sr Manager of Collections Strategy. The position reports to the Director of Collections Strategy and is responsible for improving our performance in collections using their analytical capabilities. This person will play a meaningful role in working very closely with our Operations, Risk and Product teams to help optimize resources, minimize credit losses and maximize recoveries. We are looking for someone with strong SQL skills and a quantitative background who has experience working in the consumer credit industry. The ideal person will have a deep understanding of collection strategies and know how to analyze and improve them. This person will also need to be able to design, initiate and track champion/challenger strategies within our current systems and environment.

 

 

What You'll Do

 

  • Enhance our dialing and segmentation strategy to provide optimal right party contacts
  • Develop robust strategies to achieve maximum returns for our investors
  • Analytically develop payment plan strategies and monitor effectiveness of existing programs
  • Help shape our collections strategy so that we maximize our use of technology to reach and interact with more borrowers
  • Build reporting to track performance and measure effectiveness of collections efforts and strategies
  • Segment collection strategies to the expected collectability for each borrower
  • Establish champion/challenger strategies to test, learn, implement and revise
  • Track performance of treatment strategies to improve investor returns
  • Increase contact rate effectiveness
  • Develop outsourcing and recall strategies to optimize collections/liquidation rates
  • Optimize the use of credit bureau data and collections triggers
  • Provide analytical support to various internal departments

 

 

About You

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Retail/Consumer credit portfolio risk management and/or collection strategy experience
  • Ability to develop quantitative measurements/analysis to address multi-dimensional business needs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and business topics, effective collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments
  • Familiarity with credit scoring and credit bureau and economic data
  • Attention to details, dedicated, and willing to take extra efforts
  • BS degree with 5+ years of related working experience
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills
  • Experience working with Tableau or similar BI tools is a plus
