About the Role

LendingClub’s Institutional team is responsible for developing new partnerships with banks and Institutions, who are increasingly looking to invest in marketplace lending seeking higher yields, diversification, and low correlation. In partnering with LendingClub, investors can access consumer credit through whole loans, securitizations, or certificates, as well as Auto Refinance, Purchase Finance, and Small Business loans. The institutional team is focused on identifying business opportunities with our investors to help them achieve their investment objectives while also raising capital to fund the loan products on our platform. The team collaborates with business groups across the company in providing best-in-class service to its investors.



What You'll Do


We are looking to hire a rock star to own the post-sales relationships with our bank and institutional investors. It is critical to maintain strong relationships with these partners as they provide a bulk of the capital on our platform.

In this role, you will provide a phenomenal onboarding experience and work cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization in delivering LendingClub and its products to our investors. You will build trusted relationships, leading to additional investments and willingness to partner on new opportunities, as well as develop strong rapport with internal stakeholders to maintain their support in meeting our investors’ needs.

You will have opportunities to collaborate with others, form intelligent opinions, and help drive good decisions throughout the company. You will also identify where there are opportunities for the business to do things differently, be encouraged to run with new ideas, and have the chance to drive your own projects from inception to completion.

About you

You have experience in handling customer inquiries and find fulfillment in solving business problems, picking up new tools, and strategic thinking 

You can juggle multiple projects simultaneously amid competing deadlines and drive all the projects through to completion on time

You are organized and obsessively detail-oriented, with strong planning and process management skills – small mistakes can have big consequences!

You have high EQ and are a clear communicator – verbal and written – demonstrating an uncanny ability to act as the voice of the investor internally at LendingClub and the voice of LendingClub to our investors

You have excellent people skills and an ability to work effectively with business leaders including at the SVP/CFO/CEO level

You are known as a high-energy, positive team player who “gets stuff done”

You are a self-starter and can create your own structure to get things done

You have an unusually high bias towards ownership

You enjoy working in a complex, fast moving environment


  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in the Financial Services or Consulting industries

  • Experience in Customer Success, Sales, Operations and/or Project Management functions
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Bachelor’s degree required

SQL knowledge (preferred)
