THE POSITION: As a Virtual Medical Scribe, you will see thousands of patients and their unique real-life encounters with physicians.  You will be exposed to multiple sub-specialties and learn from dozens of physicians in your time at Robin. You will receive best-in-class training so you can provide the highest quality documentation in the industry, giving you the medical acumen to one day provide care yourself.  In the meantime, each note you complete frees our physicians to focus more of their attention on the most important person in the room, the patient.

LOCATION:  4 blocks west of the University of Texas Austin campus. 5k sq. feet, alongside other smart future caregivers.


  • Document patient encounters for healthcare providers in a variety of subspecialty clinics remotely from our office in Austin, TX
  • Navigate electronic medical records to access prior notes, formulate concise patient histories, document accurate physical examinations, and capture treatment plans
  • Provide feedback to promote continuous improvement of the note-taking systems


  • Minimum 20-25 hours per week for part-time work, though full-time preferred
  • Fast, accurate typist (>60 WPM)
  • Quick learner, willing to go the extra mile and think outside the box
  • Comfort with novel computer programs
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong written English and verbal communication skills
  • Can commute to our office in Austin, TX


  • Medical scribe experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with electronic medical record systems
  • Experience in orthopedics
  • Previous work in a healthcare setting

  • Undergo training to become an expert in clinical documentation and in common diagnoses within a variety of specialties and/or subspecialties
