THE POSITION: The goal of the Quality Assurance Auditor (QA Auditor) is to ensure medical scribes meet benchmarks for note quality and outline areas for performance improvement.  The QA Auditor will collaborate with the Utilization Task Force (UTF), Training, Workforce Management, and Implementation teams. The QA Auditor will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

LOCATION:  Austin Texas, 4 blocks west of UT campus


  • Review medical scribe notes using the Audit Process and provide positive and constructive feedback
  • Meet with underperforming scribes to outline areas for improvement
    • This can comprise of a general feedback review or a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
    • Outline areas for training and organizational improvements
  • Collaborate with UTF to outline and share Robin Best Practices


  • 70% - Video review medical scribes and provide feedback using the QA Audit Rubric
  • 20% - Meet with underperforming scribes to go over Audit feedback and provide areas for improvement
    • When necessary, outline PIP benchmarks and the timeline for improvement 
  • 10% - Help develop and improve QA materials, processes, and automation triggers


  • Effectively and delicately communicate with underperforming scribes
  • Collectively maintain a 1.5% audit rate out of all completed notes each week
  • Assist in performance improvement plans with the goal of obtaining an 80% pass rate of all QA Audits
  • A QA Auditor will undergo an internal audit consisting of Audit review and Feedback Review Session shadowing with decreasing frequency as their tenure increases


  • Must be able to work from the Austin office
  • More than 3 months of previous medical scribe experience
  • Proficient English writing and grammar
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail 


  • Experience across multiple specialties and subspecialties
  • Experience working on multiple EMRs
  • Willingness to learn other specialties, subspecialties, and EMRs
  • Full-time availability
  • Able to work independently
  • Solid time management skills
  • Proficiency in GoogleSuite applications (Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
