Description

  • Work with Chief Operating Officer in the formulation and implementation of business specific HR interventions
  • Monitor developments in the industry to identify emerging talent related trends and communicate to the Business Unit Head
  • Provide advice to the Business Unit Head on domestic and global trends in effective people management for effective decision making
  • Develop and secure approval for the comprehensive HR Intervention plan ensuring alignment with strategic growth objectives
  • Liaise with the HR Centers of Excellence Teams (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Compensation) to drive activities such as manpower planning, recruitment, training etc. in the respective business unit
  • Provide inputs to the Senior Manager – Compensation on employee feedback to the compensation package and industry trends
  • Oversee the development of a detailed, user friendly employee policy manual and ensure regular updates
  • Ensure effective communication of, uniform application of and adherence to HR policies, practices and activities in the respective business unit
  • Manage an effective employee grievance redressal mechanism in the respective business unit in accordance with the statutory regulations and organization policies
  • Conduct periodic HR audits in the respective business unit to identify HR issues and take appropriate actions to address the same
  • Ensure the highest levels of Employee Engagement by implementing employee friendly policies and programs
  • Conduct Employee Engagement Surveys in the respective business unit to identify engagement levels and initiate appropriate action
  • Organize recreational activities like picnics, movie screenings, dinner parties, trekking trips etc. to motivate employees and promote team orientation
  • Drive implementation of the performance management system with clearly defined responsibilities, timelines, accurate metrics and monitoring mechanisms, to effectively review and reward performance
  • Provide guidance to the employees in defining performance metrics i.e. KRAs and KPIs
  • Ensure adherence to the performance management timelines through periodic reminders and communication
  • Ensure the timely development of a comprehensive PMS Manual and communicate to all stakeholders
  • Facilitate performance review committee meetings for moderation of performance ratings and taking final decisions on rewards, performance incentives, promotions, counseling, recognition, etc
  • Prepare and disburse performance reports i.e. the review sheets with the final performance ratings to the respective business unit heads
  • Maintain employee records and update the same regularly
  • Ensure effective administration of time and leave management systems and maintain accurate records of absenteeism and leave credit against each employee
  • The processing of reimbursement claims, benefits, loans and advances administration in line with company policy and based on designation limits and supporting documents provided by employees
  • Ensure effective management and mining of HR related information through an HRIS (HR Information System)
  • Develop regular MIS reports related to HR activities in the respective business unit
  • Manage formal and informal HR related communications
  • Monitor day to day HR operations in the business unit to ensure process efficiency and adherence to defined timelines
  • Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team’s capabilities
  • Built robust external relations with Government officials, Stakeholders, Regulatory authorities with responsibility of Risk Management.
  • Leading direct & indirect workforce of employee communications, administration and employee relations to maintain industrial peace.
  • Shouldering the responsibility of wage and salary administration.
  • Taking part in contesting legal cases before the Courts of Law and prescribed Authorities under various Statutes
  • Coordinating with Government Authorities and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Counselling to workmen on frequent absenteeism
  • Implemented Welfare schemes in accordance to the policies of the Company
  • Maintained records as per the requirements of various Authorities governing Labor laws.
  • Monitored BOCW, E.S.I.C & E.P.F.O
  • Arranged cultural programme for employees to improve engagement
  • reating comprehensive recruiting strategy to accommodate the key business areas
  • Mapping manpower needs, conducting manpower requirement analysis and creating job description
  • Assisting in performing reference and background checks, interviewing & selecting employees, preparing and sending offer and orientation packages
  • Administering Industrial Relations and Union Management as well as Employee Engagement, Internal Communications and Change Management.
