Dealing with clients, and contractors on HSE related matters.
Safety performance evaluation of sub-contractors.
Selection and procurement of Personal Protective Equipment / Safety Equipment.
Understand risk assessment techniques and ensure they are applied in the area. Takes actions based on risk assessment results, in accordance with hierarchy of controls.
Seeks opportunities for change and translates ideas into effective implementation. Searches for best practices and encourages others to adopt it.
Carrying out incident/ accident investigation and recommending appropriate control measure.
Liaising with Client, Contractor and sub-contractors to discuss and sort out the safety issues, if any.
Conduct effective HSE Induction Training for all new employees to site.
Prepare weekly report of unsafe act and unsafe condition.
Creating Safety Awareness among workers through Safety Talks, Displaying Safety Posters & Slogans, Tool Box Talks, Safety induction / Orientation and Safety Mass Meetings.
Carrying out Safety inspection of work locations, work method, Men, Machinery, Material, Vehicle movement, Tool – Tackles. Maintaining Third Party inspection reports of lifting tackles, cranes etc.
Conduct Safety audit of documents and site safety condition. Maintain compliance report of internal audit, client audit, external audit & daily observations. Follow up non-conformance highlighted in audit.
Co-ordinate with client and HSE representatives during inspection and approvals.
Formulating health and safety management plans and overseeing implementation of same as per guidelines.
Ensure that Safety Management System is maintained promptly throughout the project.
Compliance & implementation of Safe Work Procedures (SWP) at job site through contractors.
Regular & scheduled safety patrol/inspection of work place.
Pre-site inspection with Site Engineers, General Foreman prior to weekly Site Safety Walk Around by Client and Contractor.
