The Role:

The Sojern Accounting Team is looking for a driven, dynamic Accounts Payable Associate to join our fast-growing travel marketing technology company. This position will report into the Accounting Manager based in Istanbul, Turkey. The Accounting Team performs critical, backbone functions that support the Company as it continues to grow and scale internationally.  The Accounting Team is constantly innovating, looking for process enhancements, and opportunities to grow efficiencies; we are a collaborative team, looking to drive results and enjoy our work.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy, flag & clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices.

  • Review invoices to data captured by the Accounts Payable system, code to the appropriate general ledger account, department and ensure correct tax code is used, route for approval by appropriate parties.

  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

  • Maintain vendors within the Accounts Payable system and assist vendors with the enrollment process.

  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.

What you bring to the table:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school preferred.

  • 2 - 3 years accounts payable experience desired.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in English preferred.

  • Experience with Tipalti or equivalent Accounts Payable software desired.

  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Excellent data entry skills, problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member.

  • An extremely high sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to constantly re-prioritize.
