The Role:

The Account Manager is responsible for management of advertiser campaigns in the New York region, while maintaining and growing advertiser partner relationships. The role exists to service and support customers, deliver on campaign commitments, influence client strategy and partner with sales to deliver on company sales targets.

In addition, the AM will need to be successful developing internal relationships within Sojern, through working cross-functionally with Sales, Analysts, Campaign Coordinators, Product, Marketing and Engineering to meet and exceed client expectations.

This includes proactive communication internally and externally with clients, and accountability for campaign setup and optimization. Having an analytical focus is vital to the success of balancing key KPIs of pacing, performance, margin, and upselling/cross selling where feasible. 

The Account Manager must be extremely organized, have a strong voice, be able to delegate, and keep up with a lot of moving tasks, all while ensuring they are achieving commercial success with their book of business.



  • Manage client accounts with limited to no guidance.

  • Develop strong relationships with clients and a thorough understanding of each client's business and campaign(s).

  • Develop a solid understanding of Sojern's products, procedures and systems.

  • Collaborate with Sales to manage the strategic execution of campaigns.

  • Ability to assess financial gains and risk to portfolio of client campaigns.

  • Ability to multi-task, manage time efficiently and respond timely to client and internal requests.

  • Display intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Tableau skills in analyzing client campaign performance results.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting or a related field

  • 2-4 years overall industry experience

  • Account Management experience in Ad Tech / Programmatic / Digital Account Management, or managing large clients

  • Experience working with a DSP and/or a social media platform like Adphorus is an added bonus

  • Strong analytical abilities that leverage our data-driven platform to produce successful campaigns Experience retaining and growing client accounts

  • Willing to wear multiple hats and roll up your sleeves to get the job done 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams

  • Self-driven, detail-oriented and have exemplary organization skills

  • Motivated by the idea of evolving within a start-up environment Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
