The Role:

Sojern is looking for a hungry experienced media sales professional with demonstrable success in developing, growing and managing online advertising accounts within the Travel and Online Advertising Industry. You will have a strong background in digital media sales and want to become part of a fast growing successful team.

You will manage the development of some of Sojern’s existing key strategic clients as well as initiating and developing new business with a strong focus on European Destination Marketing Organisations (DMOs), European Tourist Boards and CVBs. 

The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable advertising product solutions for the category and assist in bringing these solutions to market via relevant relationships and superb selling skills.

You must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, presentation and public speaking experience. The candidate must have a very strong understanding of ad-tech and more specifically display advertising, data-driven solutions and audience targeting. Be strategic and effective on acquisition, development and retention of new clients as well as work closely with the Account Management team to grow revenue with existing strategic clients/agencies and 



  • Run your territory playing a pivotal role in growing, developing and managing the vertical advertising business across different European Destinations. 

  • Focusing on generating new business, up-sells, cross-sell opportunities focusing on key  prospects

  • Meet and beat agreed set revenue targets

  • A deep knowledge in digital media and Travel, operating at multiple levels of seniority to develop strategic relationships with both direct clients and agencies responsible for destinations. 

  • Work cross-functionally with other members of the EU Sales team, global product leads and European Insights teams.

  • Work closely with the in-house Account Management team to ensure to deliver wow on customer service and campaign results.

  • Assist with the creation of persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Sojern to target marketers within Europe 

  • Support Sales team in marketing function, such as distributing collaterals and organizing events for clients & agencies


What you bring to the table:

  • 3-5 Years experience in business development selling online media solutions    

  • Experience in the ad-tech with a solid understanding of performance marketing, attribution modelling, etc. is essential.

  • Past commercial experiences and existing network of key decision makers within Destination Marketing Organisations (DMOs) is mandatory 

  • Candidate must be proficient in English and being multilingual is a huge plus, preferably French and Italian. 

  • Consultative and insights-led sales approach; intuitive with an engaging personality

  • Entrepreneurial spirit; exhibits strong self-management and sense of urgency.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.

  • Exceptional writing and presentation creation skills.

  • Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills.

  • Salesforce experience very useful
