The Role:

We are seeking an experienced travel and advertising technology professional who is independent and a passionate go-getter with proven experience in effectively managing sales pipeline and contracting process.  Our customers are independent, boutique hoteliers and chains who have a need for our targeted digital advertising solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to define and lead Japan Go-To-Market strategy to acquire and develop new small and medium hotel partners to achieve net revenue goals.

  • Prospecting and understanding customer business requirements, pain-points and in a clear and concise manner, position our digital media solutions that is a viable option for customers.  

  • Identifying, negotiating, contracting, directing and managing relationships with independent, boutique & chain hotels in assigned markets. 

  • Developing and executing quarterly plans that align with region’s strategy,  including revenue goals, selling tactics, product mix goals and customer touch points.

  • Meet and exceed aggressive and growing sales targets on a quarterly basis

  • Deliver persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Sojern to marketers and drive sales.

  • Self-starter with proven experience in effectively managing sales pipeline, communicate proactively with clients throughout sign-up process and lead by example.

  • Results driven attitude and able to think out of the box to contribute creatively towards building solid business pipeline and driving sustainable business.

  • Effectively collaborate cross-functionally with different offices, vertical sales, account management and product teams to develop relevant Go-To-Market digital media solutions.

  • Own and drive performance for special projects and tests.

  • May also manage a team of sellers.

  • This position will require the ability to travel

 

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years of sales experience with industry contacts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven & excellent negotiating skills, understand industry contracts and negotiations.

  • Proven experience in the Travel Industry specifically hotel and/or ecommerce experience

  • Ability to work within a highly motivated and success driven team

  • Ability to communicate at all levels, both internal and external

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Ability to handle English and Japanese speaking market..
