Over 100 of our team members work out of our NYC office and represent a critical component of Plaid’s future success. We’re looking for a People Generalist to work across the full spectrum of People functions to grow and support our NYC team.

What Excites You:

        Ensure all People processes are fully implemented and optimized throughout the NYC organization
        Provide coaching and consulting to leaders and staff in NYC
        Understand and communicate the unique needs of the NYC team to each People Team function (compensation, recruiting, talent development, learning, etc.)
        Identify development, performance, culture and retention needs and work with both functional team members and other members of the People Team to implement appropriate strategies
        Manage on-boarding in NYC to ensure all new team members are off to a great start -- including partnering with hiring managers to track and support learning and development over their first few months
        Manage the NY team’s medical, time off, parental leave, 401(k), FMLA, SDI, LOA, etc.
        Collaborate with the People Ops Team in our HQ to support accurate record keeping, reconciliation of benefits enrollment and employment verification requests
        Ensure employee advocacy and fairness

What Excites Us:

        5+ years of experience in People/HR function, experience as an HR Business Partner a big plus
        Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make thoughtful decisions
        Ability to work effectively in unstructured situations with minimal oversight; someone who can proactively uncover problems/opportunities and advise on potential solutions
        Low ego; no task is too small to deserve your full effort and enthusiasm
        A natural relationship builder able to quickly develop trust with many different groups of peopleIntellectually curious about people and organizational issues and are motivated by a desire to help others
        Impeccable discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
        Experience with a variety of people, programs and processes (annual performance management cycles, calibration facilitation, compensation planning, executive coaching, employee relations/conflict resolution, organizational design, etc.)
