Job Summary

Responsible for value opportunity analysis data collection, data association, analysis, recommendations, and reporting, which includes a prioritized list of initiatives, solutions, services, resources, and required process changes for existing customers and prospects. Guides a cross-functional technology and services team of subject matter experts to analyze data and formulate the growth, cost, and quality recommendations, and works closely with sales and services leadership to train and support the presentation of the recommendations and report in a credible, visually appealing, and compelling style that inspires action. Designs scalable value opportunity analysis data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, models and tools, working with subject matter experts, corporate analytics, technology, and operations team members. Supports other Value Architect Team members with the collection, analysis, and reporting analysis of baseline and data for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Example Duties

  • Analysis of complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
  • Identification and interpretation of trends and patterns in datasets, including data association and triangulation to discover opportunities
  • Development of opportunity analysis models working across a cross-functional team of subject matter experts
  • Creation of recommendation and reports
  • Training and support of sales and services professionals to deliver the recommendations and report
  • May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools
  • Application of improvement science to analysis baseline and post-intervention data
  • Perform project management skills across a variety of fast-paced initiatives

Recommended Skills

  • Five to ten years of financial analysis, revenue cycle management, and ACO experience
  • Three to five years of strategic planning and opportunity analysis experience in a healthcare setting
  • Healthcare service line experience, with 3-5 years of healthcare operations experience
  • Proficient in one or more BI tools (QlikView, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Report Builder, or similar tools may also be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver a project
  • Ability to tell a story with data while utilizing visualization UI, UX and design best practices
  • Proficient in structured query language (SQL)
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Experience in supporting sales and services teams
  • Strong background in improvement science, managing data integrity, and applying and designing analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to validate outcomes improvement results, and to analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative information  
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills; ability to build, manage and influence stakeholders and internal teams
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong negotiating, consensus-building and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated; comfortable working under general direction
  • Strong sense of customer service to consistently and effectively address client needs
  • Experience working in a consulting, for-profit or software company
  • Data modeling principles experience
  • Excels in continuous learning and collaboration
  • A proven leader, advisor, and mentor

Education & Relevant Experience

  • BS/BA in finance required, MBA with an undergraduate in finance or economics is preferred
  • Five to ten years of a director or higher-level healthcare finance and strategic planning experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience, with 5-10 years of finance, strategy, and operations experience
  • Three or more years of healthcare technology and data analytics experience
