Plaid partners with a variety of companies that seek to deliver new products and technologies into the marketplace. The partnerships range from bespoke product integrations with companies like Stripe to marketing relationships with top consulting firms to channel deals with core financial software providers like Fiserv and Jack Henry.
This role will be responsible for negotiating and in some cases, also managing, these partnerships. In any deal we negotiate, Plaid seeks to further its aim of building an inclusive and more secure financial infrastructure. This means success is not tied to the number of deals, but rather to the quality of the deals in terms of economics and fit with our strategic objectives.
You should have experience structuring and negotiating a variety of different channel, marketing, and product deals. You should be an astute negotiator, strategic dealmaker, but also work within Plaid values which means treating partners fairly and as we would want to be treated. Plaid is first and foremost a technology company, which means that even business people must have an affinity for technology and product. You will often be the tech, product, and business person rolled into one – a position you should feel comfortable holding.
