Plaid is building the infrastructure that powers the future of financial services. Our core constituency is developers, and as a Developer Advocate you’ll help build and maintain the developer community. They’re the interface between our products and our most technical customers.
As a Developer Advocate, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with engineers and product managers across all parts of financial technology. Your core focus will be on engaging with startups and soon-to-be startups, but you’ll also spend time working with indie developers and those at large companies. You’ll also focus on crafting fantastic resources, including demos, code samples, documentation, how-to guides, and blog posts. Your goal will be to create a strong community focused on building fantastic tools and services, and serve as a champion for developers across fintech.
What you'll do
Engage with developers of all types and drive adoption of Plaid’s API's
Build exciting demos, how-to guides, docs, tools, and/or code samples, and write blog posts to highlight these and other aspects of Plaid’s business
Serve as a conduit for new information about Plaid’s products to the developer community, collect feedback, and use their input to help inform our product team
Champion Plaid’s products to developers through speaking at conferences, contributing to and hosting events, and engaging through key channels on the web
Hack on new and unique ways to grow and better engage with our developer community
What excites us
You’re one of the friendliest people you know
Highly creative, energetic, and communicative
Strong engineering background and comfort working across multiple languages
A history of engaging with developer communities, whether through hackathons, meetups, or the web
Excitement about speaking publicly and representing Plaid to (sometimes) large audiences
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Excited to travel regularly
