Ready to drive media coverage and manage press relations for one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the travel marketing space? As the Senior PR Manager, you will lead the development of global communications plans, deepen our key media relationships, and create stories that highlight our competitive differentiators and support a comprehensive executive thought leadership program. You will partner with global PR resources internally and externally to increase Sojern’s awareness with key audiences and industry influencers on product launches, travel trends reports, innovations in data machine learning, and more.

Sojern has a significant global footprint and works with the world’s leading airlines, hotel chains, cruise operators, tourism providers, and boutique hoteliers to reach travelers and deliver amazing experiences for millions of consumers and business travelers around the globe. This high-visibility role will interface directly with the executive team based in our San Francisco office. Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing, you’ll be a key player in building our world-class brand vision and driving competitive advantage for Sojern.



The successful candidate will:

Take ownership of the Sojern corporate narrative with press in partnership with the marketing team and executive leaders

Develop communications strategies and tactics to support the overall marketing plan

Manage relationships with key journalists to evangelise the Sojern story, securing ongoing press coverage to highlight our clients, key messages, travel insights, and company value proposition

Write press releases, pitch documents, and other key communications materials including executive media briefs, quotes, talking points and company-wide messaging guides

Lead brainstorms on story ideas for key executives on top ad:tech and travel industry issues

Develop and submit speaking proposals for key conferences and events

Obtain favorable press coverage across trade, mid-tier and top-tier press

Develop, manage and monitor public relations budget

Track and report press coverage on an ongoing basis



What you bring to the table:

BA or BS degree

Amazing written, verbal, and nonverbal communications skills

Must have quick judgement and an excellent understanding of the current state of mind of the press

4+ years of career experience and hands-on execution in B2B public relations either in-house or with an agency

Proven success building strong relationships with tech and advertising press

Team player with strong cross-functional, organizational and multitasking skills

Self-starter who works well independently

Hands-on and ready to jump in and create value

An existing rolodex of press and media contacts that you can leverage is a plus
