About the Role
The Global Network Operations Strategy & Planning Manager will deliver high priority strategic projects across the Network Operations organization. Based in San Francisco, but working with teams around the world, this role will apply structured thinking to critical business questions, run deep analyses, generate insights and develop strategic initiatives and projects to improve operations.
What you'll Do
Articulate the overall strategy for Uber’s support network
Lead a team of Strategy & Planning Analysts to develop insights to support the Network Operations org
Enable strategic footprint decisions, build and maintaining dashboards for key business metrics, assess the financial implications of BPO contracts, and participate in a semi-annual planning / budgeting process
Structure business problems, define projects, set goals, and workstreams
Plan and lead discrete projects independently
Synthesize research and prepare material to guide discussions among senior leaders
Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep our organization as efficient as possible as we scale to meeting growing demand
Be the go to person for many key initiatives within Network Operations
What you'll Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or similar fields
Minimum 6 years of work experience
Minimum 2 years of investment banking, consulting, or similar experience in corporate strategy
Team lead experience in consulting or a corporate strategy function
Excellent analytical skills & excellent time-management and cross-functional leadership skills
Exceptional Excel / data management skills
Ability to tell compelling stories with data in presentations
