About the Role

We are currently searching for a Senior Program Manager, Safety Process & Standards, who will continue to help us build effective safety policies and products for all of Uber. What You’ll Do
Work directly with Uber’s Safety & Insurance Team to develop policies and products to address safety risks in the US and globally
Lead a small team of process specialists
Work with global operations teams to identify risks and execute mitigation plans
Help define global standards for driver screening and incident response
Work with stakeholders to promote change and deploy new safety initiatives
Develop relationships with functional leaders, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts in the areas of driver onboarding, incident response, and fraud
Design appropriate metrics, tools, and methods to track and sustain improvements
Drive positive safety outcomes while optimizing for business objectives
Manage and empower team and demonstrate measurable safety improvements
What You’ll Need
A minimum of 7 years of industry or consulting experience in risk mitigation, quality assurance, compliance, internal controls, or global operations
Change management in a large/international company
Analytical and data driven. Passion for problem solving.
Influential with great communication skills
Experience in team planning, setting metrics, and roadmap development
Experience working cross-functionally
Ability to design processes and policies without a prescribed template
Passion for improving Uber user experience with a focus on safety
MBA or Master's degree a plus.
Experience working in the background check or investigations/fraud space a plus
International experience a plus
