About the Role
We're looking for a technical marketing operations manager to help scale our global marketing efforts. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our marketing managers and advertising partner use the best in class tracking technology, marketing tools and systems to maximize the Return on Investment (ROI) on marketing spend.
In addition, you’ll guide the direction of the growth, strategy and execution of advertising operations for Uber’s fast growing marketing team. We’re in 70 countries and over 500 cities, and each presents a different set of challenges for a marketing organization. With the speed and scale of execution at Uber - no two days will be the same and you’ll constantly be learning and developing new skills.
What You’ll Do
Lead a team of marketers, analysts and peers by influencing best practices, processes and technical thought leaders
Mentoring, coaching and managing people in marketing operations and other areas
Lead and help instrument complex tracking technologies for improved attribution of marketing ROI at the granular level
Lead and serve the AdTech organization in specialized areas like fraud analysis, experimentation setup, campaign automation and remarketing
Ability to identify and influence business decisions through analysis, tech platform evaluation and clear communication
Identify opportunities to fix or improve processes, tracking and data solution to make Uber better in the long term
Act as a trusted advisor who influences others in support of ideas and AdTech projects
Regularly advises leadership on the AdTech’s roadmap, mission and goals
Supports the team's work and finds opportunities to sponsor the application of the work
Educate other teams and programs about the work accomplished
Possess strong public speaking skills
Has a well-developed network of influencers and potential colleagues in academic and professional research circles
Exhibits strong presentation and communication skills to audiences outside of the department
Possesses strong writing skills for communicating complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
What You’ll Need
Minimum 10 years of overall experience working marketing tech or marketing ops or data analyst or data operations or media buyer
Minimum 2 years of management experience managing 4 people
Minimum 4 years of adtech or marketing tech (or equivalent experience) working with tracking implementation, strategy and tools
Minimum 3 years of management experience managing at least 3+ direct reports in analytics, marketing tech or data ops
Minimum 2 years of experience in mobile app marketing tech stack and space.
Ability to fluently communicate with engineering, product and marketing teams
Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
