Who you are
Madison Reed’s District Manager will be an ambassador for the Madison Reed brand on all public and store occasions, personifying the Madison Reed values and promoting the Brand image, our products and most importantly the company’s culture at all times. You’ll lead by example and be a superior coach to the field organization and proud owner of delivering inspiring customer experiences at each Color Bar. A results-oriented leader, this individual achieves sales goals through sales productivity, store profitability, superior customer service and operational excellence in their region.

As a key member of the executive team building the first chapter of the Madison Reed’s Color Bars story, this person is a thought leader and partner to the entire team in San Francisco HQ, as we create the roadmap to success for Color Bars together. Reports to General Manager Color Bar.
A successful District Manager demonstrates excellence through:
Manage and optimize each location’s P&L within allocated budget to achieve results for the entire area
Develop and implement strategies with cross functional partners in HQ (ie, marketing, sales incentives) to maximize achievement of sales with a focus on regional trends and preferences
Develop culture, processes and expectations to deliver 100% customer satisfaction guarantee with every visit. Ownership of the Net Promoter Score for each Color Bar
Identify underperforming stores and develop a business plan to address and manage issues effectively
Team Building and Training
Recruit and hire talent to build the Color Bar organization with superior salon managers, Colorists and support team members; build relationships with key strategic hiring partners (ie beauty schools) in the region
Deliver and build content development of training programs for onboarding and continued training of salon managers and Colorists
Coach and develop skills of all Color Bar staff and team members, through competitive benchmarking, performance management and training
Deliver performance evaluations and ensure direct reports and key team members receive monthly, quarterly and annual feedback
Creates team spirit and culture across the region, fostering collaboration and healthy competition
Skills & Requirements
7+ years retail sales management experience in a similar role, with multi-store responsibility and results driven track record
Experience in beauty retail /services; cosmetology background a plus
Proven ability to communicate Senior Management market trends, initiatives, and competitive challenges to achieve sales goal
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
Strong personal effectiveness skills-detail oriented, good listener, organized, able to manage time efficiently and follow up to ensure the achievement of personal and regional objectives.
Highly motivated-customer oriented, self-motivated, results oriented, goal oriented.
Flexibility to work a retail schedule that will include travel to stores within area and to SF HQ
You are also ambitious, a self starter who acts with a sense of urgency and a problem solver -- these are the traits that allow you to navigate your team and your career successfully in an entrepreneurial environment
