Velostrata is looking for Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team in California (LA/Orange county/Seattle/Bay area). You will play a critical role in building and sustaining customer and partner relationships while driving the adoption of our solutions. As our Cloud Solutions Architect your will have a high impact, very visible role, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting adoption of our solutions and driving further development and evolution of these solutions to meet future customer needs.
Establish and maintain close interface with the account managers, engineering, and marketing department to drive revenue and maintain customer satisfaction by providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
Builds long-term business relationships and becomes a trusted adviser within each account, assist in building their cloud transformation plan.
Provides technical product expertise during visits to prospective customers, advises on deployment architectures, and handles in-depth questions during sales meetings and calls.
Contributes to sales process improvement, including developing knowledge-base articles, blogs, creating sales tools and mentoring other Sales Engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
5 years of experience working in an enterprise software, cloud management, cloud migration, or cloud BC/DR company
At least 3 years of experience working as a Sales Engineer
Technical skills and knowledge in multi-tier application architectures, application controllers and other technologies found in Enterprise cloud environments
Deep knowledge and prior experience in installing, selling and architecting solutions in Amazon Web Services EC2, Microsoft Azure IaaS, VMware server virtualization environments, software-defined networks, security architectures, storage networks, directory and identity services, enterprise IT management and automation platforms, and multi-cross-platform application models
Experience with integrating private and public cloud solutions is a plus.
Customer facing and relationship building skills
Experience working in a dynamic startup environment and with a geographically dispersed team
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
