The Role:

Agari is looking for a senior HR practitioner to help us lay the foundation for our next phase of growth! This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, managing and growing the HR and Talent Acquisition team, providing guidance to Executives and Managers, and defining the future of HR and Employees at Agari.

The role will be based out of our headquarters in the Bay Area and report to the Chief Financial Officer, working closely with all senior leaders.


Your Impact:

  • Lead and develop the HR and Recruiting function. Help the team achieve high operational excellence as well as developing a strategic HR function.

  • Guide the development, implementation and coordination of our HR policies, processes, practices, and programs.

  • Drive cultural alignment through ad hoc initiatives, transparent processes, and strong relationships throughout the organization.

  • Foster strong collaboration across the company in our UK and North Carolina offices, as well as with our remote workforce.

  • Act as primary liaison with our external employment counsel.

  • Manage Total Rewards, including compensation and benefits.

  • Oversee the launch / execution of local training, compliance efforts and professional development events, classes, etc.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to drive employee retention, succession and workforce plans.

  • Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in relation to the new hire onboarding program and other activities.

  • Implement and utilize HR metrics to measure performance and make sure we're on the right track.

  • Be a trusted Strategic Partner with high business acumen, judgment and functional capability.

  • Collaborate with company management to forecast staffing needs and manage hiring challenges and opportunities

  • Identify gaps and provide training on a variety of subjects, measure success, and ensure team needs are met


Your Keys to Success:

  • 10+ years generalist experience in the following disciplines: Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Staffing and Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, and HR systems

  • 1-2 years experience as a Business Partner, or the equivalent

  • Experience managing and developing an HR and Talent Acquisition team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Apps (Spreadsheets, Presentations, Documents, Forms), HRIS tools, BambooHR a plus

  • Flexible working hours to cater to stakeholders in different time zones

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR/ Business Administration field preferred, or equivalent experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and organizational acumen

  • Self-motivated, able to manage own priorities with high integrity

  • Experience working with a dispersed employee base with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Proven ability to build rapport and strong relationships through extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills
