The company, based in Silicon Valley, allows investors to trade “motifs” – intelligently weighted baskets of stocks built around themes, investing styles or multi-asset models.  Individuals can even create brand-new motifs from scratch.  The company’s investors include Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Renren Inc. Board members include former Securities Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur Levitt and former Boston Consulting Group Chairman Carl Stern. 

 

At Motif Investing, we provide world class Customer Service.  The job of the Registered Representative (RR) is a specialized financial services position engaged in receiving, evaluating, investigating, resolving, and documenting of customer inquiries.  In doing so, RR’s are the first point of customer contact and therefore RR’s set the stage for the customer experience.  As the key member of the customer experience the RR will handle inquiries received through many channels including phone, email, chat, and social media.  The RR, and the Customer Service team, is responsible for advocating on behalf of the customer across all departments and creating the energy and compelling story to drive business changes.

  • Become a Motif brand advocate.  View each inquiry as an opportunity to personalize the brand
  • Assist customers with their varying needs and resolve with professionalism and empathy
  • Identify situations involving financial risk and escalate accordingly 
  • Relentless focus on customer needs and attention to detail
  • Exceed productivity and quality guidelines as established for the department
  • Resolve, document, and report complaints in accordance with FINRA regulatory requirements
  • Embrace conversations that lead to conversion of potential customers to paying customers
  • Resourceful self-starter, drives tasks to conclusion
  • Focus effort on first call resolution, quality monitoring score, and overall quality interaction
  • Capture and present ideas to improve general customer interaction
  • Participate in cross functional problem-solving improvement efforts - improve processes that improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Represent Motif Investing in all communications to the public in a manner consistent with company guidelines

 

Qualifications

  • Current FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses
  • Experience solving complex trading issues in accordance with Compliance and FINRA guidelines
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years prior extensive customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office - specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Salesforce CRM experience desirable
  • High energy level, ability to multi-task, strong work ethic and solid organizational skills
  • Strong aptitude for learning new systems and processes
  • Robust problem-solving skills
