We’re looking for a world-class Email Marketing Lead to join our Modsy marketing team. In this role, you’ll own and oversee Modsy's email channel, including prospective and existing customer communications. You will own critical revenue-generating responsibilities that will have a large impact on the business. We are growing quickly, so your expertise will be put to good use.


  • Define and drive strategy to increase revenue and engagement across all email streams; including editorial, transactional, and lifecycle.

  • Lead the email development process, including ideation, creative production, testing, deployment, and reporting.

  • Lead an audit and consolidation process of email streams across the company to create a clean and consistent email communications system.

  • Partner with copywriting and design to develop compelling, high-quality email content.

  • Establish a testing strategy to continuously improve open, click, purchase, and unsubscribe rates.

  • Analyze and optimize email performance, and share metrics and learnings with stakeholders.

  • Ensure CAN-SPAM compliance and email functionality across multiple browsers and devices.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications


  • 7+ years experience in email marketing

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Expertise in email service providers (MailChimp, ExactTarget, Campaign Monitor, Responsys, etc)

  • Experience owning the full email experience and working cross-functionally to create emails

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

  • SQL experience a strong plus

  • Startup experience a plus
