Description

We are looking for a Sales and Provider Development Manager ideally with an experience in field sales, who is self-motivated and able to work within a relatively unstructured and entrepreneurial environment. This highly driven individual will be looking to build a career for themselves and wants to stand out from the crowd, whilst being happy to roll up their sleeves and get done what needs to get done. They will work to support the identification and on boarding of new providers and clients on the Science Exchange platform and help manage those relationships. As one of the first members of the growing European team the opportunities for growth within the company are excellent.

Responsibilities

    • Helping to drive growth in the European market and supporting our global Marketing, Business Development and Sales teams, tasks include but are not limited to:
    • Cold calling/emailing and lead generation to providers and clients
    • Market analysis, such as identifying potential new clients and providers
    • Managing strategic relationships with key providers and clients
    • Overseeing and utilizing subscription data sources, (eg, Hoovers.com, Zoominfo, Zymewire, Data.com, BioPharm  Insight and/or Medtrack)
    • Collaborating with internal team members to organize current account engagement (including onsite customer event, seminars, etc.)
    • Developing, implementing, and managing new programs to deliver value to Science Exchange providers
    • Prospecting for new opportunities (e.g. networking, lead generation, relationship building, lead follow-up), with an end goal of executing a strategic supplier agreement or new enterprise client
    • Collaborating closely with other functions of the company (particularly customer success, product, sales, and marketing) to deliver an exceptional experience for the providers on the Science Exchange marketplace
    • Positioning and communicating our unique capabilities to providers, including preparing and delivering presentations, with the end goal of selling them on the value of a relationship with Science Exchange
    • Representing Science Exchange at conferences and industry networking events
    • Recognizing where we can add value to providers and clients and executing on projects to realize that value

Requirements

    • Minimum of earned Bachelor’s degree in science
    • We are looking for candidates based in Europe
    • Initial experience of scientifically related sales, business development, or vendor management
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
    • Detail- and service-oriented, hard-working, diligent and resilient 
    • Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous, environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present information
    • Ability to travel up to 25%
    • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
    • Experience with CRM (eg Salesforce), Excel, or data visualization tools is a plus
    • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
    • Proficiency in all MS-Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience in cold calling/emailing
