What You’ll Do

The Sr. Broker + Consultant Relations Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a regional broker strategy of Broker + Consulting houses to grow Calm’s employer sponsored healthcare business. In this influential role, the Broker + Consultant Relations Manager will work to open doors to Brokers and Consultants while educating on our products, services, and solutions through articulation of Calm’s value proposition. This role reports directly to the VP, Broker + Consultant Relations and works closely with the Consultant Operations Specialist and broader Calm leadership team to leverage our core offerings, build long term relationships and provide thought leadership. This role provides autonomy and an opportunity to influence and impact Calm’s future growth. This person should have solid product knowledge with the ability to showcase specific value of those products to Brokers + Consultants while maintaining and growing relationships to achieve company goals.

  • Represent Calm’s products, solutions and services 
  • Effectively articulate Calm’s tangible economic value, links to business drivers and key performance indicators
  • Target prospective Brokers, through phone, e-mail, social media, networking events, association events, etc., to add to the Calm family of Alliance Partners
  • Ability to collaborate, team with, find compromise, and build consensus with regional field sales consultants, leadership, and internal shareholders to leverage Calm’s resources
  • Develop a trusting and mutually beneficial relationship with Brokers + Consultants while promoting business growth and balancing selling efforts within the Healthcare ecosystem
  • Generate pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment

Who You Are

  • Experience facilitating successful account planning within health and welfare of a consultant or brokerage firm
  • Strong executive level selling, relationship, and presentation skills 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of sales principles and applied sales techniques to help move opportunities through the pipeline 
  • Ability to negotiate challenges, remove barriers and work through issues
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Deep understanding of how businesses operate, and the priorities that drive decisions from the C-level
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and continually changing business while effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization
  • Possess strong cross-functional integration & collaboration skills
  • High intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce

Minimum Requirements

  • This role typically requires 8 years of Sales and/or Account Management experience in a consultative sales organization
  • Life & Health Licence required, resident state minimum 
  • Please note that this role requires 30-50% travel

The on target earnings for this role are between $160,400- $175,000 annualized with a 85/15 split between base pay and incentive compensation. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and other qualifications. This role is also eligible for equity + comprehensive benefits + 401k + flexible time off.
